Ella Hagen, a sophomore at Summit High, won the Class 4A girls individual title at the Colorado High School Activities Association state cross country championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Hagen covered the 5-kilometer layout in 17:48.9 to help Summit secure sixth place overall with 236 points. Hagen, who improved from seventh place last season, became the first female state champion for Summit since Whitney Anderson in 2004.
